Over the past year I’ve posted several epic YouTube comments. Don’t worry: there will be plenty of new posts in the future. But today I’d like to post a different kind of update. During my time on YouTube I’ve come across several types of YouTube commentators. That’s why I decided to write an article about it. I’m sure you’ve come across some of these types before (perhaps even all of them!). Enjoy!
One of the most annoying types of comments come from bots. They have a fake account to post generic comments with a link in it. Following that link will probably cause your computer to melt down because of all the spyware and malware on the site. So it’s best to stay as far away from them as possible.
Over the years I’ve seen a lot of epic comments on YouTube. The problem is finding the original comment. There are usually several copycats that post the exact same comment. They actually ‘steal‘ the comment to get some likes. Unfortunately, they often succeed…
Here at EpicTube, we always try to give credit to the original commentator. It’s our way of saying thank you for their creativity and sense of humor.
The First One
The First One is someone who discovered the video waaaaaay before you did. They have been fans for ages! (Actually, they’ve been a fan for a day or two, but they don’t want you to know that).
Hardcore fanboys are some of the most obnoxious people on YouTube. Whatever you say, they will always tell you you’re wrong. They love the manufacturer/band/person… so much, they can’t stand it when someone criticizes them. Whatever you do, don’t get into an argument with these people!
The Rising Musician
We see this type of YouTube commentator in the comments section of a music video. It’s usually a guy who talks about how hard it is to make it as a musician nowadays. And if that isn’t enough, they ask you to check out their channel, like their video’s and buy a truckload of their CDs.
X brought me here
9Gag brought me here! Funnyjunk brought me here! WE DON’T CARE!!! We don’t care where you come from and we don’t care where you’re going next.
I know my English isn’t perfect, that’s why I really can’t stand the grammar nazis on YouTube (and any other website). Whenever they get the chance they correct your mistakes and make you feel like an idiot.
What do you think? Have you come across some of these YouTube commentators before?
Can you think of other types of commentators we see on YouTube? I’d love to hear your input, so post a comment and share it with the rest of us!
